Mr Fonebone - jazz quintet was founded by Mr Antti Rissanen (mr bone) and Mr Mikko Innanen (mr fone) in Helsinki, Finland in 1994. Since then, it has been one of the most innovative jazz groups in the Finnish scene. It is built of five individual jazz comets, award winning players. The musical roots are based in the 60’s when the modal, high energy playing, made its way in jazz music.

Debut release "Mr Fonebone" (ARF-463) was released in 1997. The Second CD "Mr Fonebone Live" (TEXCD3000) features trumpet player Ingrid Jensen and was recorded live in Finland in 1999. The third milestone "Hit&run" (TEXCD 3001) consists of the destinctive original compositions of the group's members. Mr Fonebone has also been a part of Sibelius-Academy’s releases "Sounds In the Snow" in 1995 and "Modes" in 2001.

Besides touring many times around Finland, Mr Fonebone has toured in Germany, Iceland and the USA. Also, a large number of different kinds of clinics and workshops are being held by the musicians along the touring.
