In the
year 1990 I saw a Somali in a
show and felt in love with this breed. I got my first Somali
in spring 1991 and the first Bluestream's litter was born in September 1992.
A few years later I wanted to get new lines to my breeding and after being
in contact with
foreign Somali breeders, I got my first import in 1997, he is a very deep
coloured sorrel Somali boy,
Foxykats Duke-of-Bluestream.
My
love in Abys started in 1996 when I visited
in USA. I went to a cat show and met there a very lovely person, Carol
McCutcheon and her beautiful ruddy Aby, Tosca. Three years later, in 1999,
I went again to USA to pick up home my first Aby girl, Tosca's daughter
named Mellowmews Tia. It was a
fascinating trip to
pick my baby home and, at the same time, visit CFA International Cat Show
and meet famous US breeders.
In next year I found myself again in Kansas City and
now I had a very sweet ruddy Somali boy,
Foxykats NGC6543
Purrsuit to share my home trip.
In March
2003 I picked two new males from the Dushara cattery. Before that I had visited Teresa's home
a few times, and after thinking and talking we agreed that those boys
would be suitable for me. They were very lovely and handsome boys, ruddy
Dushara Sun Wizard Bluestream
and blue Dushara PurpleSky Bluestream.
My latest
Aby girl import is
Mellowmews Cher of
Bluestream.
The most
successful cat in my breeding is EP Bluestream's Dundee, a ruddy
Somali neuter, who has won five times the title of World Winner. The years were 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000. He has got the
title of Scandinavian Winner in 1999, too.
In the breeding,
my main
aim is to have healthy cats with lovely temper and
beautiful appearance according to the Somali and Aby standard.
I'm very strict when I
place my kittens. I want them to have the best possible home where they are loved and
taken good care as family members. |
