Lt George L. Betker USAAF

Lt George L. Betker flew with the 447th Bomb Group, 708th Bomb Squadron. He earned DFC, Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters and completed 35 missions.

This peaked visor cap was used by USAAF navigator Merryl T. Rish. He was lost in a mission over Germany.

Well you can't pass WW2 bomber pilots without their colorful A-2 leather jackets!

USAAF used also steel helmets like this M-3 covering pilots heads from splinters.
