Exact Audio Copy configuration for FLAC encoding

  1. Check Use external program for compression
  2. Change Parameter passing scheme to User Defined Encoder
  3. Set file extension to .flac
  4. Type full path to flac.exe or use Browse… to locate it
  5. Change Additional command line options to
    With EAC 1.0 beta 1 or older:
    -8 -T "artist=%a" -T "title=%t" -T "album=%g" -T "date=%y" -T "tracknumber=%n" -T "genre=%m" %s

    With EAC 1.0 beta 2 or newer:
    -8 -V -T "TITLE=%title%" -T "ARTIST=%artist%" -T "ALBUMARTIST=%albumartist%" -T "ALBUM=%albumtitle%" -T "DATE=%year%" -T "TRACKNUMBER=%tracknr%" -T "TRACKTOTAL=%numtracks%" -T "GENRE=%genre%" -T "COMMENT=%comment%" -T "PERFORMER=%albuminterpret%" -T "COMPOSER=%composer%" %source% -o %dest%
  6. Bit rate selection only affects display of estimated file size. Selecting highest value in the list is closest to truth with FLAC
  7. Check Delete WAV after compression
  8. Uncheck Add ID3 tag
  9. Check Check for external programs return code
Compression options - Offset Select Offset tab.
Uncheck Use Offset Correction for encoding and decoding.
