The first version of my pages was published in March 1999. Now I it is time to freshen it up again.
Most of the pages are quite as they have been - partly because they are so like me and surely, there are a lot of emotional feelings for some pages - partly because I have received positive response for my pages and some people visit them over and over again.

At the time, I wrote that I have at least three reasons to make a Home Page and maintain them; and there are still at least as many reasons as I had then.

Probably the most important reason for making web pages of my own was that I wanted to put together the different periods of my life - not only in thoughts, but with pictures and words - also those things and happenings which culminated in my retirement in 1998.

I also felt that it was important to write about my own experiences and maybe in that way give hope and support to those people who are in the same situation as me. The pages about asthma and alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency are currently only in Finnish and Swedish, but it is easily find information about these diseases on the Internet.

The second reason was to learn how to create web pages. I'm not a novice anymore - I think... I have practiced very intensively; learned a lot and even have had the opportunity to create pages for friends. Besides web pages, most of my computer time is filled by working with photos. I have found real treasures in old photographs and negatives!

Web Page look nowadays quite different from mine, I still do not want to change the look, partly because have no time and mostly because I do not like blinking and flashing objects on Web Pages. I do not either like to wait long for pages to be opened.
 

All my life I have been working with pictures and colours in one way or another, either for a living or as a hobby. Visuality in all forms is important to me, and it is one of my strong points, as well as having a good eye for colour. I am a perfectionist, which some times is good and some times not...

The final reason is the same as earlier; I naturally want to show what I can do. I also want to prove, that even though you might be forced to shut some seemingly important doors in life, you just have to be brave and open new ones. That is the only way to find new interesting views and possibilities.

One important bonus is that I have new friends from many countries and have the chance to share thoughts with and learned from people from other cultures than mine - for which I am very happy!

So to the pages:

One of the most important periods in my life was the ten years when I created wall textiles with the loom. The absolute climax of my career was my first exhibition in 1985. Unfortunately, I had to quit shortly after because I developed asthma. Anyway, I’m happy to have that experience and there are pictures of some of my textiles included here to celebrate that period of my life.

To find a way to express my creativity I took up photography - with - a quite ordinary camera. The headline "Scandinavian Nature" has for me a very special meaning. The Nature - the sea and the forest are extremely important to me. These days the importance of Finnish nature is just increasing, even the winter with all its difficulties seems beautiful.

In the Gallery, there are present commissions and links to web sites I have worked with.

I of course want to introduce my Family beginning with my own, then presenting my sister and brothers and of course my parents, who gave me a good home and a good start in life. My parent's page is as it has been from the beginning, it is very important to them (and me too).

One family member beside my parents who got an own page is my sons dog Funny Face. She was about 15 when I made her Page and told about her exciting life as a world citizen - that page is only in Finnish.

Funny Face passed away on the 6th of April, 2007. She got her own Memorial Page which you find here.

In June 2005 I adopted a dog named Chico. To have a dog of my own has been my dream for years! Of course Chico has his own pages with many photos. The text is only in Finnish and Swedish. You find the link on the Family Page or you can go directly from here.

There you also find a link to the pages where I tell about how we in summer 2003  renovated the small cottage on my Parents Summer Place.

I have included a page about Finland because I think there are too many people who don't have a clue where Finland is! There are also some links for those who want to know more about my country. A very wide-range of information can be found about Finland on the Internet so I will just tell you little about the matters I think are good, and well taken care of in Finland, and also something about us Finns.

The Tenerife Page.
There I spent the winter season 1999-2000. I wanted to test how the climate would affect my asthma.
I intended to write about my experiences there, but it seems that I never have time to do it. There is, however, a link to a page, which shows a big map of the Tenerife Island. On the Map Page I have put in the Accu Weather Forecast for both the North an South part of the Island.

On the Info Page there are announcements. Mostly it is empty...

The Guest Book is removed. I just got very tired to temove a lot of unwanted advertising.

You are not permitted to use the pictures I have used to introduce my site. You may use other pictures on your own homepage provided it is accompanied by my logo, which is linked to my homepage. The logo can be found on the pages. To modify, sell or distribute material from the site is naturally forbidden without my permission.

I hope that you all respect this rule. I have spent hundreds of hours of work on my Site and I would prefer to have the credit for it myself!
