Arms Deal is the inside story of the sale of the F-16, the airplane of the future, the arms deal of the century. It is the story of how General Dynamics sold 348 air combat fighters to Denmark, Norway, Belgium and the Netherlands in 1975 and overcame the rough international competition of Northrop, Dassault and Saab.

Ingemar Dörfer was a senior research associate during the writing of this book, National Swedish Defense Research Institute, and a member of the deparment of government at Uppsala University. He has written numerous works on defense policy, the international arms trade, and technology.
