Iraqi Hardened Aircraft Shelters
Below you can see the structure of the Jugoslavian made hardened aircraft shelter (HAS) that the Iraqis had during the 1991 Gulf war. These were the strongest shelters with more than 3 m (10 feet) of reinforced concrete and sand.

It took two laser guided bombs through the same hole to destroy one of these shelters.
Iraqi Air Defense Network in 1991
Iraq had an integrated air defense system where the fighter force and the anti-aircraft guns and missiles were integrated together throughout the country. The system was a French-based KARI air defence system.
