Noppa's Hiking diary, |
| Wednesday 5.9. | The house was a mess today. The kitchen was full of most delicious
looking and smelling bags, and of course I was not allowed to touch them.
There must be something exciting to happen, mommy picked up two big
backpacks from garage and they are packing them with daddy. We are going
somewhere for sure, but am I allowed to go with them? To be certain I went
sitting in front of our front door, so that they would not forget me here.
They put a really horrible dress on me, daddy said it's a rain coat. I do not understand, I have not gone out when it's raining before, and I certainly will not do it in the future either. Besides, the dress looks so stupid that I can't be seen in it outside the house. What would all my friends think about that? Today we did not leave the house, but mommy and daddy came sleeping very late tonight after all the packing and stuffing. |
| Thursday 6.9. | Mommy and daddy brought me to a massage today. At first tha place was
kind a scary, but after a while I relaxed so well that I fell asleep. I
was so nice, that I got a biscuit as a reward! At home mommy did something really strange: She packed my food into small bags. Mommy must be going nuts. Finally, all the food bags were put into one of those big backpacks. Daddy said that when I grow older, I have carry my food all by myself. What's the point in that? Food is supposed to be eaten, not to be carried around! In the evening I was very tired. Fortunately I found a big pile of clothes to make my bed. |
| Friday 7.9. | Today, I and all the stuff were packed into a car. After a few hours
of driving, we arrived at the grandma's summer house! But alas, grandma
wasn't here. Doh! I protested this loudly, but everybody were just
laughing at me. In the evening I crawled at the foot of daddy to sleep. The bet part of this summer house, is that I do not have to sleep on my own bed on the floor. |
| Saturday 8.9. | In the morning, the we packed the car again. I do not understand why
we came to this place for so little time only. Well, the main thing is
that I was not forgotten and left here alone. I had to sit on the car for a whole day, and I became bored. But then I saw something really strange creature on the window, it had even horns! It was kind of scary, but I barked a lot and it ran away. Mommy said it's a reindeer, and there are lots of them around here. Then we took the big backpags from the car and left the car in the edge of the forest. Then we just walked, walked and walked. Or really, I was running around while mommy and daddy were just walking. We walked still when it came dark, and I felt really hungry. Finally we stopped and I got food. Now I was getting cold, and even mommy came to warm me when I just sat and shaked. We had a scary fire buring on the ground. It was spitting sparks, so I did not go very near it. Then mommy and daddy took a house-looking thing from the backpack and we went to sleep inside. I was sleeping between mommy and daddy even when they said I should be sleeping at the foot. I pretended not hearing and acted like really sleepy. Fortunately they let me sleep there, and I was given a blanket too. It was a bit cold still. But I was so tired that I fell asleep almost immediately. |
| Sunday 9.9. | In the morning I woke up because it was getting really hot. We came
out from that funny portable cave and I was given some food. The sun was shining, but it was really windy, so I started to get cold right away. Mommy and daddy put that horrible dress on me, it warmed me a bit. Now mommy and daddy packed all the stuff with them and we started to walk again. On the road I ate a lot of blueberries and lingonberries. They were really good. I also chased some birds to fly from ground. I was quite proud of myself. I saw those reindeers too. They tried to attack mommy and daddy, but I drove them away! For some reason, mommy and daddy were not very happy from this heroic deed. We walked the whole day and I started to be bit tired. Finally we came to some hut, where we stayed for the night. Right after food I went sleeping and slept until dawn. |
| Monday 10.9. | In the morning I had to get up early, even I would have wanted to
sleep longer. They put the dress on me because it was raining outside. At
first it was a bit difficult to walk in it, but fortunately I forgot it
quite fast. We walked really really long distance today. at one point even the trees ended and it was really foggy. In the fog I was running back and forth, and went too far I quess, because mommy and daddy were a bit angry. Then I had to go sitting near a pile of rocks with daddy while mommy took a picture of us. The strangest part was that nobody had pee-ed on those rocks. In the evening we came to another hut. I was too tired to eat (and my stomach was full of berries, too) and went sleeping right away. Mommy put a blanket on me, and it was lovely warm place to sleep. |
| Tuesday 11.9. | Doh! Mommy's paw is hurt, and we have to leave the forest earlier than
was planned. There are so many blueberries, lingonberries and crowberries
left uneaten in the forest. Well, maybe I would not beed able to eat them
all, but I could have tried. After breakfast, they put that dress on be again, because it was kind of bad weather. In the middle of the walk, some strange man came to us, and daddy went with him! Panic! I wanted to go with them, but mommy put me an a leash. We walked on daddy's trail for ages, and even I pulled as much as I could, mommy refused to move faster. We came to a small road, where I saw daddy's backpack, but no sign of him anywhere. Mommy told me to sit waiting, and so I just sat there. I was sitting nice and quiet until I saw daddy's car! I was so happy! again all stuff was packed into a car, and I jumped into back of car. I was so sleepy, I slept the whole trip back. I quess I went to pee some times, but I'm not sure. When we arrived, I went to pee again. Because nobody told me that we are home, I jumped back into car waiting the trip to continue. I hope we go again to that nice place where I can run free hunting all strange smells, and sleep on the same place than mommy and daddy. |
