Our common hobbies... |

| In
early summer 2004 we managed to acquire a summer cottage. It has
been a dream of a very long time. Cottage is located in Southern Finland
next to a very nice, brightwaterlake with plenty of valuable fish. Kids
really love all activities over there.
Summer 2004 was full of work. We deciced to carry out a total renovation of the sauna-bathroom department. In the same context all waterpipes were changed. 2-3 weeks project lasted actually 3 months! New renovation plans exist for summer 2005. See more... |

| One of our newest hobbies is golf. I had an opportunity to start playing golf during our last assignment abroad, in Indonesia. My wife was hooked as well and now we are making plans for golf in Finland during the summer season 2003. In Southern Finland there are numeruous golf courses to play. Green fees are reasonable compared to prices in South East Asian metropols like Singapore and Bangkok. On the left we are playing in Jakarta, Indonesia participating Viking's Golf Club Tournament. | I have been fishing all my life. Since 1990 my dearest hobby has been fly fishing. During summer 1990 I was working in North-East Finland, collecting forest mensuration data for my thesis work. One of my colleagues introduced me the basics of fly fishing. I was hooked! Fortunately, I have been living nearby nice rivers. On the right is the scene from Vuoksi River in Imatra, Finland with a millions of water flies. See some of my fishing achievements! New photos added! |  |

Few years back, I was hunting a lot mainly wild ducks and elk. During the past four years, my hunting hobby has been on the background due to my international assignments and small kids. Now, kids are growing, we are back in Finland and I am going back to hunting as well. During autumn 2003, I restarted elk hunting. Check hunting results! |
| I love singing. I have been an active member of Helsinki University Male Voice Choir (Ylioppilaskunnan Laulajat), the oldest and mosth famous male voice choir in Finland. Our choir has received wide international recognition and won several awards in competitions. During spring 2003, we celebrated our 120th anniversary with several concerts ans big parties. At the moment I am having a brake from the choir. Learn more about us! |  |

| Horse riding and
show jumping filled my life until the age on 30. I have had few own
horses, the last one was 'Panda', a genuine Holsteiner stallone. I was
competing several year in national level and had some success as well.
Currently I do aerobics and walk a a lot. I really look forward to the summer 2003 and wish to start playing golf again. |
