Hazards Intelligence - HInt - brings you timely information and comment on hazardous incidents. For as little as Euro 100 per year you can benefit from the unfortunate experiences of others. Read on to learn more, or go straight to Ordering Information.

The e-mail edition of HInt is published approximately every fifteen days, in Microsoft Word format, and is about 34 pages long. The contents are described below. The print edition of HInt is published monthly, around the third of each month, and is about 64 pages long.

HInt contains the following sections, though these may change according to the whim of the editors:

Oil The oil industry, from wellhead through the refinery.
Gas From wellhead through the refinery, to storage and transportation. For distribution to the customer, see Utilities.
Renewable Energy Biofuels; hydrogen; the occasional windmill.
Fuel Transport & Storage Includes gasoline, diesel fuel, heating oil, LPG, etc.
Chemicals Processing The processing of chemicals, as opposed to their use.
Chemicals Users Industrial use of chemicals, except for those in specific industries such as Mining, Metals, Food, etc.
Chemicals Transport Transport of chemicals, other than by pipeline.
Utilities Gas to the consumer, drinking water, sewerage, electricity distribution, refuse collection, and district heating.
Power Covers the generation and transmission of electricity at voltages of 1,100 and over.
Mining Covers incidents in coal and other mining.
Metals From refining to the processing of finished products.
Fireworks, Explosives Self explanatory.
Food & Agriculture The food industry has has some unique characteristics as a user of chemicals.
Pulp, Paper & Wood Self explanatory.
Waste & Recycling Chemicals and chemicals in domestic waste.
Passenger Transport Incidents involving public transport.
General Public Incidents involving use (or misuse) of chemicals in the home or which affect the general public.
Environment Natural disasters or man-made disasters with significant environmental impact where the culprit is unknown.
Crime The use of chemicals to commit a crime.
Other This is a catch-all category for anything which does not fit into the other categories.
Aftermath This important section covers reports on past incidents.
News Legislation, annual reportsand other news not tied to a specific event.
Unusual Very.
Silly Statements Few journalists report incidents accurately. This section points a finger at the guilty.
