Barbed Wire Studio: An Artist Prisoner - 1940-45

Tells the story of Frank Whetton, a British artist who was captured by the Germans in 1940 and spent the following five years at Stalag XXA, Torun, Poland, and Stalag 383, Hohenfels, Germany. Frank Whetton was taught by the Australian artist Justin O'Brien, and in his turn encouraged Terry Frost. Lavishly illustrated, with 57 colour pictures, 58 sketches, 26 photos, and miscellaneous woodcuts, theatre programmes, etc. The book offers a unique insight into the artistic life of prisoners of war.

Technical Intelligence

Hazards Intelligence (HInt)

Hazards Intelligence (HInt) is a journal recording hazardous incidents world-wide. The objective of HInt is to learn from other people's accidents so as to prevent them happening again. HInt is published twice a month in electronic form (as HInt - 30 pages - and HInt lite - 15 pages) and once a month as a printed journal. Oil Refinery Incidents

Most of the world runs on oil and oil refineries are an important part of the world economy. Consequently, there is much interest in the performance of oil refineries. Each month, we receive a large amount of data on incidents affecting oil refineries - far too much to be included in HInt. Consequently, we now publish HInt Oil refinery Incidents, a monthly newsletter of 30+ pages recording incidents from around the world, and with some analysis.
