Recording contract with Disentertainment inked
Merging Flare have signed a deal with the Finnish record label Disentertainment. Disentertainment will therefore release Merging Flare's debut album "Reverence" that is due to come out in Autumn of 2010. Rehearsals & album pre-production
During the Easter holidays Merging Flare spent some time at their rehearsal room arranging some brand new songs for a possible full-length album to be recorded later this year. Check shots at photos section.

Imperiumi Records will release a split CD EP of Merging Flare & Guardians of Mankind at Finnish Metal Expo to be held at Kaapelitehdas, Helsinki 16.-17.2.2007. Today some vocal recordings were done as we started building up the choirs for Steel Redeemer. All the necessary lead vocal parts for the both tracks were already recorded during the last week. The plan is to continue with the choirs next week.

All guitars are now recorded and the songs kick some major ass! We will presumably start recording the vocal tracks within a couple of weeks. There will also be two guest singers participating in the choir vocals. We won't reveal any names before all the vocals are recorded. Further details will be available at this location in the near future, so check back often.

All the rhythm guitars and also some of the leads have now been recorded for the new songs. Hopefully we'll manage to finish the remaining guitar parts this week. After the guitars we'll be able to start the vocal parts. As usual, stay tuned for further updates.

Flare in studio!
Merging Flare entered the Content Union studio in Helsinki today to start the recordings of two brand new tracks. The new songs are titled "Under The Fire" and "Steel Redeemer". We managed to get the drums and bass done, and hopefully we can start recording the rest in the near future. Stay tuned for updates!

Merging Flare will be playing once again at Kalpea Kukko, Kajaani and this time with Domination Black from Karhula. The date is Saturday 8th of April 2006.

The second show will be held with Misery Inc and Fore at Balls on Saturday 6.5.2006

Kasperi plays a few shows with Gamma Ray!
Yes, it is actually true. Kasperi Heikkinen of MERGING FLARE is helping the German heavy metal band Gamma Ray out. Henjo Richter (GR's second guitarist) accidentally hurt his hand just before Gamma Ray's show at Tavastia, Helsinki 16.1.2006. Knowing Kasperi's skills from his contributions for the Gamma Ray tribute band Guardians of Mankind, that includes 2 Merging Flare members, the GR guys invited him to help out a little and he played the show through successfully. Kasperi will play a couple of more shows in Norway, Sweden and Russia too, before Henjo's hand is recovered. Some pictures from the Tavastia show can be seen here.

Merging Flare will be performing live at this year's Roctoberfest Metal Festival taking place at Kajaani Hall on the 29th of October, together with such acts as Impaled Nazarene, To/Die/For, Elenium, etc. For further info on the festival visit the Roctoberfest Website

The mixing almost done
The 3 songs (1. Faker, 2. In The Line Of Fire, 3. Killing Ground) that will end up being on the forthcoming promo CD have been mixed almost to the finish. Only some minor things need a little more fine adjustment. The songs will also be mastered next week. Watch out for new sound samples soon!

The new demo is finally being mixed and hopefully it will be finished until the beginning of february. We have also spent some time writing new material and rehearsing whenever we've had the time. We'll announce more details as soon as we know something new.

All recordings for the new promo CD have now been finished. The mixing process will start as soon as possible.

We thought it might be nice to provide some information about the forthcoming demo-cd. Meanwhile we are desperately trying to finish the recording process.

The demo consists of four songs including 1-Liar, 2-In the Line of Fire, 3-Killing Ground, and 4-Trace of Silence. All songs are composed by Kasperi, and all lyrics are written by Oskari Tammenmaa, except Liar which is a result of a very intense teamwork between Kasperi and Oskari.

All songs are quite straightforward metal songs with tiny progressive elements here and there. And no, they are NOT power metal! They are just classy pieces of music with groove and a great amount of expression. Melodic heavy metal at its best. Ok, that's all folks. We'll announce more details as soon as we can, bye now and cheers.

Merging Flare have started the recordings of their new 4-track-promo-CD at the Content Union Studio in Helsinki. The drums and bass were recorded on the 24th of July and the recordings for the guitar parts will be started on Monday 26th. Hopefully the whole shit will be finished sometime during August.

Merging Flare are going to perform a live show together with their dear fellow band Elenium on Saturday 19.06.2004 in Kajaani at Beerhouse Kalpea Kukko. This is Merging Flare's first ever concert with their current line-up so be sure not to miss it!

We have added a couple of full songs to the sounds section. Those include Star Odyssey which is the original mix of the track and pre-production version of Liar which is a completely new song that was recorded by the band in August of 2003. Please note that the song was recorded very fast with quite a shitty equipment so the production isn't that good. This song will be released later on a new demo which will hopefully be recorded in the spring or summer of 2004. Recordings will take place in Helsinki.
