Photos taken on Santorini 10-17 of June 2001 These pictures were taken on the Greek island of Santorini located in the Mediterranian sea. Santorini is a small island with great views that remember from it's volcanic past. Click a photo for a larger version. Sorry about the typos and possible misinformation. |

This photo was taken from the village of Pyrgos. You can see many local wineyards and in the distance the only town on the island -Fira. |
The internationally renowned Oia sunset. It was indeed very pretty. |
Me, standing on an edge near Ancient Thira, located some 366 meter above sea. The village in the background is Perissa. |
This is a rocky mountainside of Profitis Ilias, the highest mountain on the island (peak 569 meters). The tiny, white-bluish spot about in the middle of the photo is my mom. |
Here you can see a part of the huge kaldera as well as Fira on the background. In the distance you can also see Profitis Ilias. |
| The small road leading up to the Ancient Thira is about three kilometers in lenght. Here you can see it from the lower terrain and a view from the top. (You can notice the same shadowed mountainside on both pictures) |

In the first photo, there's the center island of the kaldera sea. It's the only active volcano in Greece. The second photo is taken from the beachroad of Kamari village, the place where we stayed. The road featured many nice shops and even more restaurants, cafes and bars. |
This photo was also taken on the same trip as the previous one. You can see the shadow of the mountain stretching all the way across the island. |
