Contrary to what some people think, washing a rat is actually fairly similar to washing a cat. Both animals are furry and smart and have long claws. Normally, neither need to be washed; it is only when their fur has for some reason become too dirty for them to clean it by themselves that a washing performed by a human is in order. Furthermore, neither of them like to be washed, and their wit combined with their long claws mean that you have to be careful not to let them escape and not to get scratched in the process.

As we have seen, washing a rat is no more difficult than washing a cat. By following the instructions presented above, you should be able to wash your rat a great deal more easily than before. In addition, your rat may even learn to like the washing routine.
