Welcome

Glad you found your way to my homepage! I get many requests from visitors who want to know who I am so, here is an attempt to share some facts about me. I have never liked introductions. Introducing oneself is not a simple task after all. What do people want to know? What is interesting to them? Do they want my life story or just my name and occupation? Place of residence perhaps? Well, here it goes.

 

About Me

My name is Maria Kallio, I grew up and still live in Espoo, Finland. I find teaching interesting. I am Master of Arts (Education). At this point of my life I have time for my hobbies.

My favourite hobby along with my studies is walking with my dogs in the woods. I dream that some day I could spend a whole summer hiking in the beautiful nature of Lapland in the north of Finland. I also enjoy training obedience, tracking & tricks etc. Occasionally I compete in these sports with my dogs.

I have always been interested in animals, especially in dogs. It took a while that I got a pet of my own. Before Mandy which is my first dog, I worked as a dogsitter and I had an aquarium, a guinea pig, called Vili, and some mice.
