a-litter

Minttu's first litter was born very easily and it was more than ok to me as I had never before seen kittens born! Minttu handled everything herself and my only "job" was to keep her company.

In this litter was one tortie girl (Amanda), a black boy (Amadeus) and three red spotted boys (Antton, Armas and Aramis). I had already decided that if there is a tortie girl, I will keep her myself. When Amanda was born, she was totally black except for her light nose. As I had never seen a tortie kitten before, I thought (poor me...), that she was a black one with a wrong nose color!!! When she was a couple of days old she got more markings and the "light nose" soon changed into a perfect flame...

When I began to look for new homes for the kittens, I noticed it wasn't so easy! Everybody wanted to have a blue british as the Sheba-commercial had just been shown in TV. First I found home for Amadeus, the black boy. He went to a family where was already a colorpoint-persian. Then I found home for Aramis, he went to live with a family who also had another cat. I still had Antton and Armas, when I happened to mention about this to a work acquaintance on the phone. She told that her daughter had already some time wanted to have a cat. So Armas moved to Tampere for Erika's and Rauha's own baby... My mother had always said that she will never take a cat with "nuts", but she found herself to be a proud owner of one. And Antton kept his nuts until he had pissed too many of my father's shoes ;-)

EC Kehräämön Amanda

Here is Amanda appr 1 year old. You can find other photos of Amanda from the other pages. She has been very successful in the cat shows and in addition to her good looks the judges have also complemented her very good temper.

IC Kehräämön Antton, here he is 2 years old.

Unfortunately at this time I didn't have a proper camera so that's why I do not have much photos about the kittens.
