This litter was quite a surprise! Namu went to her boyfriend Aatu, and when Aatu's owner Anna returned Namu, she told that probably nothing happened as the cats didn't seem to be interested in each other. A couple of weeks later Amanda was in heat so I decided to try with her. After she came home I noticed that Namu was eating quite a lot and her tummy was getting bigger... So there was two litters coming - within three weeks from each other! We had quite a hazzle but it was so nice!
Namu was really an excellent mom and everything went smoothly. In fact the kittens were born earlier than I thought and when everything started, I was at work. Heidi, who was taking care of my son Kristo (1 year at that time) called to me at work and told that Namu had delivered already two kittens before Heidi noticed that something unusual was happening! Namu was so quiet! Heidi went to see what Kristo was doing, as he was quiet also... Kristo was lying on his tummy on the floor and his nose was abt 20 cm from Namu's behind so Kristo really got to see where the kittens come from ;-)
There were in total five kittens in this litter. Blue girl, Delightful Diana (Aliisa), who went to live to Tampere to family Hyöty as their 2nd daughter..., creme boys Dazzling Demon, who died in an accident at home when only 9 weeks old :-( and Darling Devil (Kasperi) who went to live to a farm in Orimattila where he had several cats and other animals as new friends. Bluecreme girl Delightful Deedee (Herkku) and black girl Divine Davina (Musu) went to live with my friend Miina. Sadly Miina got allergic end of 1998 and we had to replace the two ladies. Musu went to live with Miina's friend and Herkku moved to live with Kati and Apina from the C-litter to the countryside quite near Helsinki.
