TEO

Teo Jare Juhana was born 01.06.1997 in Helsinki. His birth was much quicker than Kristo's, but also much more painful. In addition Teo was born umbilical cord around his throat and the cord had to be cut before Teo was fully out. For this reason Teo was a little anemic but when he was a week old his blood was already ok. When we were still in the hospital they took several times blood from Teo's heels and he (and I!) didn't like it at all. The apgar-points in the beginning were only six, but when Teo's lungs were cleaned and he was breathing, the points got upto nine. But I was surely frightened!!!

Teo was a little smaller than Kristo when he was born - 52 cm/3750 g. Again we left home already next morning when the doctor had examined us and found out that we were both in good condition.

Teo's growing has always been "difficult". When he was 4 weeks old, it was noticed that he hadn't grown at all since his birth. Also after that he has grown much slower than most of the kids and almost everybody thinks he is almost a year younger than he really is.

Teo's temper has from the beginning been very different than Kristo's! I think he is a typical Gemini. His feelings vary in a second from "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL" to "I'M EXTREMELY ANGRY!". Luckily most of the time the "life-is-beautiful" is on...
