Dyspetes arrogans Heinrich, 1949, a new species and genus to Finland and
Denmark (Hym., Ichneumonidae, Tryphoninae)

Following specimens have been found in Finland: 1 female from
Ka:Virolahti 672:13 27.VII.1976, and four males and one female
from N:Espoo, Kilo 662:36 8.VIII.1997 (R. Jussila leg.).
One male has been found in Denmark, Jylland, Filsøy Channel 7.VIII.1967
(a field course of the University of Bergen leg.).
This species is new to the Finnish and Danish faunas).
The genus Dyspetes Förster, 1969 belongs to the subfamily Tryphoninae.
It is distinguishable from the other genera by its large and rhombic
areolet of the front wing. The head has a triangular depression behind
the dorsal ocelli. Two species have been described, one Palaearctic and
the other North American.
According to Kasparyan (1973), Dyspetes arrogans is a trans-Palaearctic
species known from Sweden and Spain in the west to Kamchatka and China in the east.
It breeds on sawflies Tenthredo, Tenthredopsis and Aglaostigma (Hinz 1961).
