Tudo/todo/cada

Tudo (pronoun everything, all)
Neutral, no feminine/masculine form or plural. It can't be used with nouns, only on its own or with the following 3 pronouns:

  1. isso
  2. isto
  3. aquilo
Examples: - Como vai?   - How are you?
  - Tudo bem.   - Everything well.
       
  - Você viu isso tudo?   - Did you see it all?
  - Você viu tudo isso?   - Did you see it all?

 

 

Todo (adjective all; entire, whole)
is used with a noun (it doesn't necessarily need to be next to the noun, it can only accompany it in a sentence) and it agrees with the noun in gender and number (todo/todos/toda/todas). It is not to be used with isso, isto or aquilo.

Examples: Eu já li o livro todo.   I already read the whole book.
  Eu já li todo o livro.   I already read the whole book.
  Eu já li os livros todos.   I already read all the books.
  Eu já li todos os livros.   I already read all the books.

 

Cada (adjective or pronoun each; every)
Neutral, no feminine/masculine form or plural.

Examples: cada dia   each day  
  cada semana   each week  
  cada um, cada uma   each one  
  a cada 5 horas   every 5 hours
