The philosophy behind the Atelier's line of work is threefold: first of all to take into account the site, natural or manmade, then the dreams of the people to whom architecture is made and last, but not least to express our intentions through design. Our principles can be also in categorized as being pro bono (beneficial work), prêt-à-porter (ready-to-use architecture) and haute couture (exclusive design line of architecture).
Atelier promotes good planning & design which respects the nature, the build environment and the peoples dreams. Through personal contact and professional teamworking, we aim to design and build expressive architecture on different scales - from a little vacation home to a large urban plan.

Atelier is a private architectural office based in Finland. The Atelier is owned and run by two Finnish architects, Titta Tamminen and Juhani Karanka. The wide scope of Atelier's work consists of architectural and interior designs, urban planning and design projects, as well as of art and environmental projects.
