Project assignment: The assignment was to design a new extension to an excisting single-family house from the 1960's. The new extension included a sauna, bathroom and a after-sauna room. Also the interior of the original house needed some convertions and rearrangements, especially in the households bathrooms and kitchenette. The original garage was ideal for a mediaroom. Also a new shed and carport were built to the site.

What would be a better start for a project than this image of an real old sauna heater? Pitch black and beautiful? We doodled with an idea for a prêt-à-porter saunabuilding that would inculde the basic spaces for having a pleasurable sauna experience. The building could be made out of wood either in pre-cut or on-site. Special attention was made to the scale and facades of the building, as it could be an interesting stand-alone object in itself.
