C A ' O N N E L A
Design process: after analyzing the site conditions, we collected more information from the client and from the municipality of Kangasala. One important aspect in the design phase was the simulation of possible usergroups for the housing. From all this info a wide selection of alternative floor plans were generated. After a thorough evalutation process a set of sketches was chose to be upgrade by the architects on users own wishes. Below is published one set of sketches that could be developed into an innovative housing design. |

The ground floor of the excisting building is used for garages and storage. The first floor with apartments A3 and A2. Here the user can modify individual living spaces, surface materials and technology as well as has the possibility to use the architect's services for consulting interior design. |

The floor plans of apartments A1, A2 and A3. The excisting building is divided both in plan and in section into a complex set of apartments, where one can enter from a floor below and live on the floor above, thus giving more possibilities for interesting housing design and individuality to the apartments. The upper floor has an open space loft-apartment with a facade-long terrace and an unforgetable views out to the Lake Ukkijärvi. All apartments are equipped with fireplaces, high-quality materials and machines. |
