In the middle of the most famous sights in Finland. An idyllic countryside shop from the mid 19th Century alongside the historical Viipuri - Savonlinna road and just 8 km from the Russian border.

Welcome to shop with us and enjoy the real athmosphere of the countryside shop with modern selections of daily groceries.

You find us easily alongside the mainroad 6, just 500 meters from the junction. In addition you find interesting canal route (Kanavapolku) in Kirjavala village.

You can reach popular Punkaharju (25 km) and Savonlinna by using the old Viipuri road directly from Kirjavala to Putikko.

Our shop celebrates its 70 years withing the same family and for this occassion we have produced out a new home page. This is a story of a shop which is the oldest still functioning countryside shop in Finland within the same building. The First shop was established in the very same building already in the 1860's.

Welcome to visit us and feel the athmosphere of the genuine countryside shop. You can shop with us also in English, German and Swedish. We will also give you interesting tips for the sights in the area.
