These huge stones moved here by the last Ice Age are the proof from the power of the Ice. These house-size stones are situated just 4 km from our shop and are the most largest travelling stones in the whole Fenno-Scandia. They are spectacular!

There are many local sagas attached to the stones. According to one two gigants were stoned once to this place and transformed as stones, another tells a story from the middle ages where the local people buried their treasures to the holes of the huge stones.

From the parking area there is a guided path to the stones. Distance 250 meters.

Also the village of Kesusmaa is worth of visiting. And if you continue the road further you will come to the road which goes just along the Russian border.
