Beautiful traditional agricultural scenery
in a countryside village. Lakes behind the fields. Worth of visiting
especially during the summer period. Nature in Parikkala area is very different than in neighbouring communities. Reason for this is the huge lake Ladoga which affects the regions climate: summers are very warm, but winters can be extremely cold. Anyhow, the nature is very fresh and you find flora here which is not often found in other parts in Finland. |
