torture chamber for the fishy thingies

yes there's a fishy there

now there's two fishies

a corner in my kitchen, i oughta sort that one out.

a room for electronics. that silvery box is an amp, goes into a hub which connects it to the speaker right next to the table. that speaker has been waiting for me for 30 years or so, it belonged to my father, now it's mine

geez, this oscilloscope is OLD :D

that's me, trying to get into the picture

me again, CLOSEUP PUSSY!

yes, i'm single, HOW DID YOU GUESS? UR AN ALIEN WITH PSYCHIC POWERS?

from the other direction, the reason all those books are so tidily in place is 'cos i put 'em in the shelf 5 minutes earlier

completely fell in love with those arches over the livingroom exits when i first saw this place
well, time to get out of the apartment, first stop, the cellphone store one floor below..

this nice man lent me the phone i took these pictures with. he sells them.

i dunno, but this little cottage looks so cute ^_^

iisalmi is a very international town, we have the onion-architecure too!

and churches with weird crosses too! the street i live on is called kirkkopuistonkatu, translates to churchpark avenue. this church is on the other end of the street, and the church 20 or so pictures below is on the other end.

"To the memory of those left behind in Karelia" a small monument for the finns who died in the winter war against russia

a snow-battle going on in the middle of the street. "love makes the horse kick, too"

a river, dunno the name

same as above

more of the river

empty spaces.. what are we living for..?

abandoned places.. i guess we know it all..

on and on.. does anybody know, what we are living for?

ohh goody goody a happy meeting downtown. i went to adult-highschool with this bloke here :)

he wanted to take a picture of me, too. urban-turban *teeheehee*

this city is full of these..

they're all around the place..

yeah i'm SO NOT THERE! :D

almost empty. this one looks like a very nice place (the picture doesn't give it the credit it deserves)

this is the other church down kirkkopuistonkatu

a statue for juhani aho, a finnish writer (if i remember it correctly :)

heikki kauppinen (kauppis-heikki in savo ;), another finnish author, a monument for him...

...

...

...

...yeah i dunno why i took so many pictures of it :/ :)

the big church of iiden in all of it's glory :P

"Glory to GOD in heavens" or something like that

this one has a pretty tall church-tower i think. it's the highest building around here, and it's built on the highest spot in town ;)

now entering school-area... "Smoking not allowed on school premises" so all the cigarette-butts are thrown on the ground. stupid but IT'S THE LAW! schools can't provide ash-bins...

oh yes, we love sports, especially american sports.

something about working hard. love the svastika, really gave me a kick when i first time entered the building (it's the iisalmi high-school)

hmmm... there's something...

...weird going on in the sky...

that is a lake. on ice. and the dark spots are cars.

there's a road from iisalmi to somewhere going right through the lake.

only in winter, of course ;)

SPECIAL lager. i think it tastes like crap. and why the fuck the bottle is broken?

older part of town, right next to the lake.

ohh so beautiful buildings here.
well that's about it. i thought i took some more but either i didn't press the button hard enough or something else went wrong. hope joy enjoyed this trip through iisalmi, the heart of northern-savo, in finland, europe, tellus. :)
so i had so much fun, i decided to do it a bit more =)
