Large Magellanic Cloud is the largest of the companion galaxes of our Milky Way. In this picture it is the fairly bright and irregular spot on the left. Next bright star to the right is Canopus (Alpha Carinae). Sirius is then fairly high on the right and Rigel is on the right bottom corner.
