2012 June 06, Asikkala Canon 550D through the 250 mm kit lens, ISO 100, 1/750 s, f/9.5. Sun is rising and the transit should already be in progress, but there are a lot of clouds ... Just a moment, what is that black dot there? Look at the image in large size here No solar filter, yet.. |

A few minutes later, ISO 100, 1/4000 s, f/32. It's quickly getting too bright without the filter. |

2004 June 08, Asikkala Sony F717, afocally through M603 with 40 mm EP, => f/2.8, Baader AstroSolar filter. Venus is here approaching the third contact point. With good will you may recognize the black-drop phenomenon. Sky was not fully cloudless, as can be seen here, too. |
