Pikku G`s debut performance was on the RDN Allstar album, where he
ended up after winning an mc contest organized by Rockin` da North and
the finnish radio station RadioMafia. After that, this naturally charismatic
youngsters. So far, his debut album "Räjähdysvaara" is the most
sold Finnish hip hop album..
Ezkimo
Ezkimo is
originally from Ivalo, northern Lapland, but nowadays he has settled down
to Helsinki. Ezkimo has made himself know with his 2002 success album "Iso
E" and especially the megahit "Entinen", not to mention numerous RDN projects.
This 23 yesr old lifestyle artist is at the moment working on his upcoming
second album.
Skandaali
This 21 year
old mc first became know as Ezkimo`s sidekick on live gigs and through
RDN projects. Besides clever, humouristic metaphores, Skandaali is also
known for his story telling skills; this versatility together with an unique
flow and technique makes him one of Finland`s top mc:s. Skandaali`s
debut album "Putkaradio" was released in the beginning of June 2003 and
went immediatelly to the top20 charts.
Helpus
The bang consist
of two mc`s, Ezra and Tkikku, and Omar (guitar), Johannes (keyboard), Lassi
(drums), Jaypee (bass), and Jere (dj). These 18-19 year old musicians have
despite their young age made music together for years and gathered lots
of stage experience. This now Kingsize signed bang has a style very unique
for finnish hip hop, so the album, released in late fall, will definitely
be worth checking out.
Urbaanilegenda
Urbaanilegenda
consists of the three Jyväskylä-based about 20 year old mc`s
Kasanova, Aikapommi and Joniveli/Jonny Bro, who is also widely known for
his beats; he has produced tracks for among others Skandaali, Ezkimo, RDN
and Fintelligens. Urbaanilegenda has done gigs all around Finland, for
example with the RDN tour.
Yor123
This german
graffiti writer/mc moved to Finland e few years ago, and since then he
has become deeply onvolved on Finnish Hip Hop. Besides organizing massive
hiphop events with RDN he has put together two RDN albums where finnish
hip hop artists got the chance to records with international know top names
and he started his own independend label Kingsize; not to mention numerous
side prijects such as being the manager and executive producer of PIKKU
G.
Elastinen
22 year old
Elastinen, the other of the Fintelligens duo, is know for being one of
Finland`s most talented mc`s and producers. After having made 3 gold selling
albums and hundreds of gigs with Fintelligebs, Elastinen is now concentrating
on recording his solo album.
Raimssi
Despide of
his very young age, 15 year old Raimssi has made hip hop music for more
than 4 years now ever since he first started listening to it in 1999. After
that he has burned his music on cd`s, handing them out to friends at school
in his home town Tampere, and published some tracks on the internet. You
can expect to hear lots from Raimssi in the future.
Toinen
Kanava
Toinen Kanava
was formed when the two mc`s, Jotflow and Jaise, who got to know each other
earlier while living in Germany, decided to start making music together.
The 20 year old mc`s have done gigs all around Finland together with RDN,
and Jaise in also Skandaali`s sidekick. The first Toinen Kanava single
can be expected to make it to stores during autumn 2003 and album will
follow in 2004.
